I am a mother of two amazing boys and wife to my high-school sweetheart. My favorite thing to do is make memories.Whether I am sitting down to play super-hero’s with my boys or re-cleaning the house after they helped me clean, I focus on the day-to-day interaction with my family and the impact we have on each other.I whole heartedly believe every family is unique and their preferred parenting style and family dynamic should be respected. For this reason, I love working with families, empowering them to be confident in their parenting decisions and encouraging them to nurture their family connection.
Hi everyone! I am a Registered Nurse, proud Sleep Educator, mother of two gorgeous boys and soon-to-arrive baby, and I am committed to helping families get the sleep they need in order to be happy, healthy and full of trust in their family relationships. I support parents through discovering their child's unique sleep recipe that results in comfort and love-filled bedtimes.
I am a mother and a partner to my husband. From a young age I knew I wanted to be a mother when ‘I grew up.' It makes me vulnerable and helps me grow and forces me to face, with honesty, both my insecurities and my strengths. My children are not perfect, but they are true to themselves and bring me joy.
I am an educator. I am rewarded by my relationships with both my students and the families I work with. I get to teach students about the earth and parents about their children. I also am lucky enough to work with insightful, mindful colleagues in all my education positions.
I am inspired by nature. As a child and young adult I was lucky enough to be able to explore some of Canada’s most beautiful wild places and it has grounded all of my decisions in my life.
Life has always presented me with incredible opportunities and I have enjoyed every learning experience because they have molded me into who I am today: a nurturing, loving, and accepting person who recently started feeling like a real "woman" (rawr) when I became a mother. Learning that I cannot give away what I do not own was a big step for me. I take time to take care, love and educate myself so I can give time, love and understanding to others, hence why I'm often outside, with friends, at yoga/pilates/gym, reading, and listening to others.
I am beyond proud of the team and philosophies we have at The Sleeping Child. I strongly believe that our continued challenging and questioning of our parenting practices will drive us to challenge and question more. This is gong to be FUN!
